-To promote hair growth one has to bring about a major change in the food habits which would include a daily consumption of 10-12 glasses of water with a diet balancing the 'Pitta Dosha'. Inclusion of green leafy vegetables, eggs, fruits and dairy products in the daily diet can be effective in promoting hair growth.

-Almond oil and coconut oil are known to have therapeutic effect on hair as well as head. Massage the scalp with any of these oils religiously for ten minutes every day, and you will definitely experience positive results on your hair over a period of time.

-Strained water of boiled neem leaves should be used for rinsing hair. This would help in getting rid of dandruff and lice.

-Massage the scalp once in a while with a mixture of coconut oil and lime juice. This is a tried and tested hair loss home remedy which would invariably help in hair regrowth.

-An ayurvedic concoction of amla, corals, sesame seeds and bhringraj can help a great deal in promoting hair growth as well as preventing pre-mature hair graying too.

-Mix three drops each of thyme, cedar wood, lavender, rosemary and thyme essential oils with 1/8th cup of grape seed oil and same amount of jojoba oil. Massage the scalp with this solution for half an hour and leave it so overnight. Then wash it off the next morning using a herbal shampoo. A religious repetition of this process can indeed promote hair growth with a shiny mane.
